Tracking Points

Val, Thanks for posting on the blog! I don't see your name as an "author" yet, so I don't know how you did it, but I'm glad.

I don't know how to post and track points except by just writing a post, as you did. I was thinking we might not even do that at this point since everyone is doing something different.

I started my second week yesterday by cutting out chocolate but not sugar* and not diet soda. Today I'm cutting out sugar, too, but letting myself drink one 500-ml. bottle or less per day of diet soda.

*And the sugary thing I ate was about 10 strawberry "vines"---yuck!---Obviously just because I craved something to chew on and they were in the house. All this stuff has GOT to go, now: things I wouldn't ordinarily even look at but will eat when I'm feeling deprived.

This reminds me that the reason this challenge has worked for me in the past is that it lets me feel like I'm accomplishing something, not depriving myself of things, which has always been crucial for me with my fitness goals.
